BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
The second annual dance of the Wellington Basketball Association was held in the Mokoia Hall last evening, the function being undoubtedly a success. Pretty frocks, coloured lights, and bluo and gold streamers gave the hall an aspect of gaiety. During the evening the guest of honour, Mrs. J. G. Coates (wearing lemon, taffeta and lace, with brocaded cloak), was presented with a beautiful bouquet by Joyce Flan. Miss Inez Connop and Mr. J. Cottier gcavo exhibition dances, and extras were played by Miss M. Gorman. The committee consisted by Mrs. H. D. Muir (president of the Basketball Association, who wore black georgette and lace), Miss P. Madson (pink embossecl georgette), Miss B. Lithgow (floral taffeta), Miss J. Gilchrist (lemon floral taffeta), Miss A. Hennessey (pink taifeta and net), Messrs F. Elvines, Bryant, and Horniblow. Also present were Misses H. Jacobsen, M. Ward, M. Gorman, O. Wardell, G. M'Gurk. Brimer, H. Elliott, Mentiplay, and Armstrong: Messrs. Moller, Johnson, Pat Carey, J. Callaghan, G. Knox, H. M'Vicar, Armstrong, and Kearney.
