LORIGAN'S TEAM

ROYAL DUKE AMISS

Prom "Vedette."

SYDNEY, 11th September

-H.. B. Lorigan started Ciinabuo and King Musket at Canterbury Park on Saturday. Cimabue showed all his old-time brilliance, and tho fast-finish-ing Nightmarch just beat him for third place. The race was the Canterbury Stakes, won by Holdfast, who won in Imin 12jsec. Amouhis', who just beat Paganelli last year, equalled the previous record for the race, lniin 13sec. Nightmareh was actually first to move in this event, but could not go the early pace. Nothing finished better, and .he would have won at seven furlongs. King Musket contested the Tbree-year-old Handicap. He did not show a great deal of pace, and seemed unable to improve from a position at the rear of the field at any time.

E-oyal Duke, who injured a foot at Warwick Farm, has been an absentee from the tracks for a few days. He is now right again. Gesture is not making > a great deal of improvement, but Concentrate is working in better style. Cimabue added to the stable's znisfortunes by bleeding yesterday.
