When worshippers attended a Pre»« byte-nan Church, in South Melbourne, thoy found all the doors and window* - barricaded, and, after forcing, an entrance, discovered that tho. organ, valued at. £1000 had ■ been brokea and-the wooden pipes removed and nailed to tho walls to ■ barricade the windows. The night'"service was conducted with tho aid of candles placed on tha end of seats along the aisles.. The trouble, is stated to be the result of of a dispute with another church in the vicinity. The authorities some time ago decided to amalgamate -the two Presbyterian churches,' but tha congregation at the church where the trouble occurred refused to do this, and, for the last six months have been conducting services without the aid of a minister.
