A GOLF BALL
SUCCESS AT MASTBRTOST
Very elaborate and artistic 'decorations were a feature of the Masterton. Golf Ball, which was held at the Municipal Hall, and was a complete succpss. Many visitors from, other parts attended the ball, as well as a great many Wairarapa people. The electroliers were enveloped in charming shades in tones of yellow, with streamers of blue and black. Groups of bamboo waved gracefully, set-round the hall, from which were entwined chains of coloured lights, carried across tho hall. The stage, arranged as . a lounge, was decorated with ferns and bamboo, with coloured lights also,'while the dais for the orchestra was decorated to match. The supper tables had oach a dainty basket of flowers, and huge bowls of autumn flowers Were around the room, the lights' being shaded iv yellow, and streamers used effectively. The floor and music were, of the best, making for the success of the ball. There were three'debutantes, Miss N. Balfour (Greytown), powder blue georgette and lace; Miss L. Percy, pale blue marietta; Miss C. Eobiesou (Wellington) pale green moire.
