The Conservatives, however, intimated their intention of amending the Bill in the Committee Lord Thompson said that the Govern-ment-would have, to take a very firm stand on the -Committee stage. Ihe Bill was a measure of national importance, and it was introduced to help the coal industry. _^__^^___
