BOBBERY AT HOTEL
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)NEW PLYMOUTH, 30th April.: Theft from a bedroom in 'the ■''Criterion. Hotel, and the use of explosives in (attempts to open safes at NewP'y. mouth and Stratford, were recalled ia the Police Court to-day when Llewellyn Price pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence on charges of receiving a wallet' containing property; valued at £130, Knowing it to; hava been dishonestly obtained,' and of forging a cheque drawn on the Bank of New' Zealand at Palmerston North. .. Prieo also admitted that at Upper Hiitt in December, with intent' to defraud Louis Taylor Rowley, he obtain-' ed a suit by a false pretence—that ha was a farmer with a banking account. Price was convicted, and sentence was deferred. ... Robert Harvey Campbell was charged with the theft of the wallet and with breaking and entering the office of I,hc New. Plymouth Harbour Board and the shop of \Masters ? Ltd., at Stratford. He- conducted his own defence vigorously, and the; hearing of evidence ■had not concluded to-night.
