AMATEUR STATUS LOST
BEACH PATROLMEN
(By Telegraph.—Pree» Association.) CHKIST.CHURCH, This Day. The automatic disqualification o£ the swimmers who have acted for a few weeks as beach patrolmen was discussed last evening at a meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the Royal Life Saving Society. It was decided to take steps to.urge that some modification of the rule bo made, as at the present-time .those who have acted as paid patrolmen have to wait for two years and a half before they can be restored to amateur status.
