WORKS

SYDNEY, 23rd February.

. Fire at the big paint works of Major Brothers and Company, Limited, Cabarita, mado a spectacular blaze. There were frequent explosions; sending showers of sparks and flaming paint and oil high into the air. Sixty firemen had a 1 difficult task to keep the blaze from spreading to other properties. One civilian aiid six firemen were injured. ■ Damage^ to the building and stock is estimated at £100,000.
