LONDON, 21st February,

Eumours have been current for some time that owing to the possibility of police action under pressure from antigamblers, the Stock Exchange Derby Sweep will bo abandoned.- It is now announced that a mutual subscription fund, as it will be officially called, will be limited to £.100,000, of which 10 per cent, will be distributed to charities. Last year the fund reached a million, and charities received EIOO,----000. Limitation means that needy hospitals and other beneficiaries will lose £90,000.
