The Queen will open, next Tuesday, a special clinic for tho specific treatment of rheumatism which is the first of many to* be established throughout the country, principally in industrial areas, by the Bed Cross Society with tho assistance and approval of tho Ministry of Health. It is estimated that 16 per cent, of the industrial disability ill Britain is due to rheumatic diseases, at an annual cost of £2,000,000 in sick benefits. Clinics are to be equipped with all the latest methods for combating the scourge as recommended by the Commission which has been investigating the subject ' in Britain and abroad. Apparatus for massage, special baths, artificial sunlight, and other forms of electrical treatment are to be made available to workers within easy reach, of their homes. ' '
