SWIMMING
TO-MORROWS' CARNIVAL
Over 40, teams, representing 30 schools, will be seen in the competitions for the Duthie and Coltm^u Cups and Maxwell Trophies to-morrow,1 afternoon at the Wellington Amateur Svimming Club's carnival at Te Aro Batik In the 50yds centre championship, Claiidge, Cameron, and Dowsett will be favourites, but any one of the other competitors may spring a surprise. The divingj championship appears to be very open, wjth perhaps Tuppen and Hicks just shading the others. Maramii Lyall Bay, Huttjand Wellington Clubs will contest the Walker'and Hall Cup relay championship. (There will also be handicap events, in jvhich Miss Kathleen Miller, New Zealand ladies' champion, will compete, diving, aid water polo.
