Whenever the French police axe ba?« fled by crime they carry out a realistic -econstruction.
Thus tho KoutepofE kidnapping was thrillingly re-enacted to-day in the presence of the General's weeping wife, a score of detectives, a vast crowd o£ delighted onlookers, and a dozen niovio operators. '
The crime was reconstructed within forty seconds with tho help of Augusta Steinmotz, an eye-witness of tho kidnapping, who directed every'movement of tho actors.
One hundred and fifty detectives are still working on a solution of tha mystery. . .
