MOTORING FATALITY
DRIVER GUILTY OF NEGLIGENCE

WANGANUI, This Day.
A verdict of guilty was returned by the jury at the Supreme Court at Wauganui to-day when George Mason Glenn was charged with negligently driving a motor-car, thereby- causing the death of Michael Connelly and Alma Joyce Crothers. The case was the
outcome of a collision at an intersection in Wanganui on 25th January. Glenn estimated his speed at from 25 to 30 miles per hour, and admitted having been previously convicted for exceeding the speed limit. His Hqnour, in summing up, said that the jury had to answer whether it was negligence for the accused to drive up to the intersection at the pace he admitted doing. It had been said that the other car ran into Glenn's; but, even i* this had been the case, it would make no difference.
