HEAVYWEIGHT CONTEST

SCOTT AND SHARKEY TRAINING

(Koccivcd 20th February, 10 a.m.)

MIAJU, 19th February. Seven rounds of sparring with fiyo different partners comprised tho bulk of Phil Scott's training session today. Ho weighed 2121b when the day's work ended. Scott gave a '"world championship" touch to tho coming fight by announcing that ho had rctainod "Wild Bill" Lyons as a bodyguard. Lyons, served in this capacity to Dempscy. ' Jack Sharkey did ten desultory rounds of sparring, which were marred by a slippery ring. There was little fire in tho, performance, to which Pierre Chailcs and Johnny Grosso contributed their presence., The impression created was that Sharkey already considered that he was at tho top of ins form and would bo content merely to idle along until'tho 27th February.
