BYRD'S SUPPLY SHIP

BAY OF WHALES, 17th Feb.

The City of New York made more than a hundred miles yesterday in good water. All hands worked continually freeing the ship from ice. Two hundred tons went overboard, tho ship rising two feet in the water.

Everything is in readiness for loading when the ship ties up at the Bay of Whales.
