Mr. Hill said the film was to be an entirely Maori one, and it was hoped to make- it historically, cthnologically, and musically correct. As regarded the music, he would uso his past compositions ,in the native sphere and would draw upon his knowledge of tho subject further to prepare the complete musical score which would bo thoroughly representative of the Maoris and Of his best work. An Auckland orchestra would be engaged to play tho music under his direction for tho film recording, so that it could be sent to America with tho picturo for reproduction in theatres or aa guidauco for the playing of the music by a larger symphony orchestra. A complete score would also bo sent.
"There is a great feeling of getting back to ' tho orchestra in ' picture theatres, and I should like to foster that plea," the composer added.
