ONSLOW GARDENS

The Onslow Horticultural and Beautifying Society announces that as the season has closed, the points prizes for the best collection of flowers and vegetables staged during the year have been awarded to the following:—

J. A. Plimmer Challenge Bowl, miscellaneous flowers: Mr. If. T. Okeby.

Normandalc Challenge Trophy, gladioli: Mr. J. Christie.

Vice-president's Challenge Cup: Mr. J. K. Nichols.

There was very keen competition for the J. A. Plimmer Challenge Bowl. The points awarded were as follows:—Mr. L. T. Okeby, 92; Mr. P. J. Brooker, 91; Mr. W. Bourke, 90. -'.' '

During the season the society were very successful at the Wellington* Horticultural Show, at tHe, spring show winning the B. A. Wright Challenge Cup. This now becomes the property of the society, .having been won three times in succession, and will be offered for competition next season. It is at present held by Mr. Inkersel, who was tho most successful competitor at the Wellington Spring Show.
