Auckland swim> mcr, would make his attempt to swim Cook Strait to-day, and tho intention of the swimmer was to set out by launch early this morning for Wellington Hoad, from which, point tho swim is to bo commenced. morning, however, the conditions were found to be unfavourable, and it was decided to await another opportunity. ,
