NEW ZEALAND'S TEAM
•; It is understood that the New Zealand team tp meet•M.C.C. in tho fourth Test at Auckland will differ very little from that'which was . chosen;for the third Test. F. T. Badcock, tho Otago coach, who was reported to be still in Auckland tin's mornSng, is stated to be the only member of tho third Test team not available for-the extra match. His place would no doubt have been filled by the fast loft-handei-j M. Henderson, had this player been available, but sineo Henderson is unable to: go to Auckland it is probable that the vacancy will be filled by ono of Auckland's players, either. C. G. Finlayson or A. M. MathesOn. ,
There has been a good deal of surprise in-cricket circles at thofact that the M.C.O. captain would not agree to an extension of time for the third Test in order to make it a three-day match, commencing from Monday.last. This, it is considered, Would havo been a much better arrangement than that which has been made, and would have saved a good deal of inconvenience and expense, although,; of course, there will be one advantage from a financial point of view in having a Saturday for the extra" game. .
