NEW HEBRIDES PROPERTIES
LONDON, 12th February.
It is understood, that a negotiator is now in London for the purpose of offering the Commonwealth the majority of holding French interests in New Hebridean properties. Realising the importance of this holding to Australian interests the negotiator obtained an extension of the option of sale to 20th February. He says that tho Japanese authorities in Paris manifested tho keenest interest, making enticing overtures, but ho decided to afford the Commonwealth the first refusal which lie claims virtually carries proprietorial rights in the New, .Hebrides,
