ENGLISH WATER COLOURS
SOME NOTABLE WORKS.
There are some water colours in Mr. Murray Fuller's, exhibition at present being shown at.the Art Gallery that represent the best." work of our most pro-minent-water-colour painters to-day.. The water colours are alive. ■ Freshly and directly painted, they give the true outdoor feeling of the subject depicted, and the particular mood of Nature represented. The brilliance of some of the work shown, painted during the wonderful summer experienced in Europe last year, is surprising. Many of the water colours were shown in the Royal Water Colour Society and the Royal Academy recently. The recent works of such prominent painters as S. J. Lamorna- Birch, A.R.A., R.W.S., Sir Herbert Hughes-Stanton, R.A., P.R.W.S., Harry Watson, R.W.S., Robert Allah, R.W.S., Cecil Hunt, R.W.S., E. W. Haslehurst;. R.8.A., R. 1., Gerald Ackermann, R. 1., W. Lee-Hankey, K.W.S., and Eleanor Hughes are amongst the best shown.
