The section was then awarded to Hill,-who otherwise would have played off with L. Crowley (Tauranga). Hill sportingly offered this morning to play. Crowley. The committee , considered1 the offer, and, while thanking Hill for it, decided to" let the matter stand. Hill played Bobertson when tho •weather improved. Heavy rain is falling at Kotorua this morning, and play, was stopped.
