BRITISH TROOPS IN INDIA

British Official Wlreleu. KUGBY, 10th February. Asked in the House of Commons if there had been recently any addition, to the number of British troops in India, Mr. Wedgwood Benn, Secretary for India, said that apart from a small fluctuation due to seasonal movements, no change had been recently made or was at present contemplated. Asked if ho was satisfied that the British troops at present in India were suflieient to keep peace and order in view of recent political disturbances, Mr. Bonn said: "In all these circumstances wo act under advice and I any satisfied that the advice is good."
