_ With business cares cast aside for the time being and most in holiday mood, racegoers will rally to the many courses necessary for the plethora of racing on Thursday. There are meetings of varying magnitude in all parts of New Zealand. Most important of course is the Auckland meeting, at which the northern club will present a fine card. Nearer home and of most direct interest to Wellirigtonians is the Manawatu Racing Club's Meeting at Awapuni. Each season one wonders from whence come so many horses to supply the demand, and what is more, it is a puzzle what becomes of some of, the riders between holiday gatherings.
