EMPIRE THEATRE, ISLAND BAY.

An extra special production, "Road House," Is the star attraction at the Empire Theatre to-night. It tells the story of Larry Grayson, a youth who falls under the spell of Sally Carroll, the intriguing bait of a gang of thieves. Parental misunderstandings arise between Larry and his father, and the boy, in desperation, turns to Sally. Through his Infatuation for her he consents to take a hand in the robbery of a road house. The outcome Is a gun flglit and the Wiling of the proprietor. The cast is headed by Lionel Barrymore, Maria Alba, and Warren Burke. There will also be an excellent supporting programme. The Christmas Day programme Is headed by "What Next"! a light comedy-drama.
