The Prime Minister (the Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward), who hns been confined to a sick room in his private apartment at Parliament House for some weeks, was conveyed by motor yesterday afternoon to his home at Heretaunga, where it is hoped he will progress amidst more congenial surroundings. . A special sun porch has been built to enable him to obtain the benefit of the summer weather. Hekeeps ia constant touch with national affairs.

Mr. J. W. Macdonald (Commissioner of Rural Intermediate Credit and Public Trustee) is visiting the Canterbury; district on official business.

The Eev. Bernard Wilson, of Auckland, has responded to a call from the Christchurch suburban Baptist Church at Opawa. Mr. Wilson is the son of the Eev. A. S. Wilson, and recently completed a four years' course at the Baptist College. 'He has been superintendent of Intermediate Christian Endeavour Societies for the Christian Endeavour Union. He was presented, on behalf of the Grange road church, with a suitcase, also an enlarged photographic group.

The remains of the late Mr. Henry-; Inniss were cremated at the Karon. ' Cemetery this morning, the Eev. H. E. ■'■ K. Fry, vicar of St. Mark's , Church, officiating. Mr. Inniss was a life mem- ~ ber of Lodge Waterloo, being one of the oldest members of the Masqnio-',' Order in Wellington. The chief mourn-!' ers were Messrs George and William * Inniss (sons), Mrs. J. Goss and Mrs/:: W. Hill (daughters), the two Misses' 1 Inniss, Mr. J. Goss, Wanganui (grand* sori), and Mrs. Goss. Among thosei V also present was Mr. Berry and Councillor Morpeth, representing Waterloo Lodge, and 'Councillor T. Forsyth. The f late Mr. Inniss was born in London,-;; not in the West Indies, as stated yester day.
