ACCIDENTS
MOTOR-CAR STRIKES POLE
Three men—Harold Wood, of Titahi Bay, Charles Spragge, aged 20, living at the Eutland Hotel, and Vivian Eoss, aged 31, who lives at 3, Stephen street —were injured as a result of a laotor accident late last night. It is stated that the motor-ear collided with a telegraph pole near the comer of Willis and Ghuznee streets. Wood suffered a scalp wound; Spragge was injured internally, and Eoss suffered minor injuries. They were taken to hospital, but this morning Wood and Eoss were discharged. Spragge 'a injuries are said to be fairly serious.'
As a result of being knocked down by a motor-lorry on the Queen's Wharf yesterday afternoon, W. Cowan a waterside worker, who lives at 11,' Hopper street, suffered a lacerated wound on the head, injuries to his left ankle, and shock. He was taken to the hospital by the City Ambulance. David Bremner, a blacksmith's labourer, who lives at IG3, Tasman street, while riding a bicycle this morning, collided with a motor-lorry at tho corner of .Webb and Taranaki streets and suffered a contused wound on the forehead, abrasions to his left shoulder, and an injury to hisieft foot. A plumber, A. M'Mahon, of IGI Karepa street, was admitted to the hospital this morning, suffering from concussion and shock. A motor-cycle yon which he was riding and a niotor-lom-collided in Ohiro road. His condition is regarded as serious.
Miss K. Naismith, who lives ' in Brooklyn was taken to the hospital by the City Ambulance this morning suffering from head injuries, received as a result of a motor-car striking a wall at the top of Hopper street.
