Tile Premier, Mr. Bavin, announced after a meeting of Cabinet to-day that preparations are- almost complete for opening the Rothbury Colliery, on terms which the miners' leaders advised the men to accept. Steps also are behi£ taken Jo secure the opening of other mines.
The delegates of all the miners' lodges will meet at Newcastle to-mor-row to formulate a policy for the continuance; of the strike iv accordance ■with _ tho resolutions of tlio aggregate meetings.
