ESPERANTO CLUB.
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club took place last night in the V.M.C.A., Mr. E. C. Jack presiding It was decided that the club would closo its activities for the year next Tuesday with a special social evening, to which members were asked to bring their friends. The first half of the evening was devoted to tuition, the members being divided into groups according to advancement in the international language. An excellent programme was presented in the second half. Mr. K. C. Jack gave an item in Esperanto entitled "Kanto de la Pano." Mr. V. Leek presented an original translation in Esperanto of "Trial by Jury." Mr. L. E. Dust gave an Esperanto talk on "Social Activities." Mrs H. Aspin gave a graphic description in Esperanto of "A Conflagration in p. Chinese Village." Miss Coral,-; Smythsqn presented an Esperanto item entitled ''Gilbert and the Lady." The secretary spoke in Esperanto on "Utilitarianism and Idealism."
