FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

AUCKLAND, This Day. Funeral arrangements were completed late to-night. The body, dressed in vestments of office, was removed to the Bishop's house, Ponsonby, and will be taken privately to-morrow afternoon to St. Patrick's Cathedral for lying in state. Solemn requiem mass to be attended by the children of Catholic schools and orphanages, will be hold on Wednesday morning and funeral mass will- take place on Thursday morning. At the express wish of the late Bishop, the interment will take place in tho cemetery at Panmure, where are buried many former priests of the diocese. Also at the Bishop's request there will be no flowers in connection with the obsequies. Archbishops Eedwood and O'Shea, Bishop Brodie (Christchurch) and Bishop Whyte (Dunedin) will take part in the various services. Dr. J. M. Liston, who has been Coadjutor Bishop to Bishop Cleary since 1920, automatically becomes Bishop of Auckland.
A Solemn Eequiem Mass for the repose of the soul of the late Bishop Cleary was sung at St. Patrick's College this morning. The Very Eev. J. W. Dowliug, S.M., Beetor, was Celebrant, and the Eevs. D. Moore, S.M., and C. Crocker, S.M., were Deacon and Sub-Deacon respectively. The Gregorian Eequiem was sung by the boys of the college.
