INCREASED BUTTER-FAT
THE SEASON'S CRADINCS
On the basis o£' butter-fat the butler and cheese production combined has increased this season by 4.33 per ceut. over that of the first four months of the 1928----29 season. The Director of the Dairy Division (Mr. W. M. Singleton) reports that the following quantities have been graded for the four mouths ended 30th November:— 1028-29. 1929-30. Tous. Tons. Butter- 31,014 33,981. Cheese 26,330 24,699 Butter this season has increased by 9.56.' per cent.; cheese has decreased by G. 1- per cent. For month of November only, the butter graded was 13,800 tons, an. increase of 12.14 per cent, ou returns for November of last year, and cheese graded was 11,989 tons, a decrease of 1.40 per cent, as compared with returns for November,. 1928. White cheese graded for the four months in review was 15,872 tons, coloured 8872 tons.
