PASSENGERS RUSH BOATS
(Received 9th December, 11 a.m.) SHANGHAI, Bth December. The desperate battle between the Haichiug's officers and the pirates left the decks strewn with wounded. Iwenty-fivc were taken to hospital. When tho fire started the passengers rushed the boats, which capsized. Many it is feared, were drowned.
