BOERS IN ARGENTINA
PLEA FOR REPATRIATION
(Received 9th December, 10 a.m.)
CAPE TOWN, Sth December.
Several hundred Boer families who settled in the Argentine after the South African War are reported to be petitioning the Union Government to assist them to return here. Their position is described as deplorable. They are most deeply in debt, possess no title deeds to their lands, and are badly hit by tho low wool prices. The petition is likely to receive the sympathetic consideration of the Nationalist Government.
