MEETINGS TO COME
To-night, Mr. James Kerr, United candidate for the Hutt seat, will speak in the Alicetown Church Hall Tomorrow night, Mr. Kerr will deliver ins first public address in Petone speaking in the Empire Theatre, while the Minister of Education (Hon. H. Atmore) will speak in the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt. At Petone, the Mayor (Mr. D. MeKenzie) will be in the chair, and Mr. Kerr will deal with problems of industry and with land settlement. Other dates of Mr. Kerr's election campaign arc as follow: 12th December, Blackbridge, Knos Church Hail; 13th December, Eastbourne Theatre; 14th December, Lower Hutt King George Theatre; 16th December Waiwetu Methodist Hall; 17th December Petone Grand Theatre. On Wednesday next, Mr. Kerr will address employees of the Gear Meat Co. at 1215 p.m. On Thursday he will speak to workers at the Railway Workshops, also m the lunch hour.
To-night at 8 o'clock Mr. Nash will speak at Day's Bay pavilion. Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P., Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party, who arrives m Wellington to-morrow morning, will help in the campaign. He wili speak to-morrow in the Community Hall Moera, at 8 p.m. . Mr. Holland will remain until the conclusion of the campaign. Messrs. M. J. Savage. MP and J M' Combs, M.P., will also assist. To-morrow Mr. Nash will address the workers at Metters', Ltd., at noon and a meeting of ladies at Moera in the Community Hall at 2 p.m. On luesday he will address the electors in the Knox Church hall, Blackbridge, at B_p.m. On Wednesday Mr. Nash, Mr. wmW «nd °the- r Labour members will hold five meetings at Eastern Hutt School, Waiwetu Methodist Hall Lower Hutt Lyceum Hall (for women electors) at 2 p.m., King George Theatnv Lower Hutt, in the evening and at Petone Labour Hall . To-night.Mr. Harold Johnston (Reform) will address electors at the Koro Koro schoolroom at 8 o'clock. At the samo hour a meeting of men supporters will be held at the Petone committee rooms. To-morrow night he will speak at the Methodist Hall, Waiwetu, and the Crown Theatre, Eastbourne. At the iastbourne meeting the Leader of the Opposition (the Eight Hon. J. G Coates) will speak in support of Mr. Johnston's candidature. On Wednesday night the candidate, in conjunction with Mr Coates, will speak at the Moera Hall, and on Thursday night Mr Johnston will address a meeting at the King Georgo Theatre, Lower Hutt where the Hon. W. Downio Stewart M.P., will also speak. On Monday night next (16th December) Mr. Johnston will speak at the Wilford Settle--f™' schoo1 ' and on Tuesday night, ifth December, at the Crown --TheatreJiastbourne. Several meetings of company employees aro'also to be addressed by the candidate. At noon on Wednesday he will speak to employees of Metters' Porcelain Works on Thursday to employees of the Odhn Timber Co., Ltd., on Friday to employees of.Cook's Cooperage, and on Monday, 16th December, to/ employees or the Gear Co. Arrangements " have been made- for Mr. Coates to deliver a policy speech at the Empire Theatre Petone, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, and for the Hon. W. Downie Stewart to deliver his main speech at the Day's Bay Pavilion at 8 p.m. on Monday, 16th December. On Friday afternoon next, at 2.30, Mrs. Johnston will address a ladies' meeting at the Wesley Hall Nelson street, Petone.
