ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS
CAMPAIGN
The Secretary, General Post Office, Wellington (Mi-; G. M'Namara) announces that the Christmas Seal will be on sale at post offices throughout the Dominion on Wednesday next. ' ' In a memorandum accompanying the announcements it is explained that each stamp has a postage value of Id and a charity value of Id. The purchase of the combined stamp is entirely voluntary. The secret of the success of the scheme lies in the fact that no. one, however poor, need forego tho satisfaction of subscribing his mite to a good cause. On .several occasions during the past Ujee years articles have been published in tho "Evening Post" giving particulars of the origin and wonderful success of the Christmas Seal in other countries so that most of the readers of <<The Posf'ave no doubt familiar with the meaning of the Christmas faeal and its history. It is proposed that the proceeds of the appeal in the first instance will be devoted to the establishment in selected sites in the Dominion of health camps for under-nourished and. debilitated children,.or of.children who have been contacts with cases of tuberculosis m their own homes. These health camps wjll bo under medical supervision, and adequate nursing assistance will be provided. ■. . °
