DEER MENACE

CONFERENCE IN MAECH

ACTION OF MINISTER

Eeferring to-day to the advisability of holding a conference of all interested parties to deal with the question of deer control, the Minister of Internal Affairs (tho Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle), said that since his return from the South he had had the matter under further consideration.

"I have decided that it would be advisable," said the Minister, "to proceed with the holding of the conference. No definite date has yet been fixed, but I anticipate that it will be in March. As soon as the date is fixed interested parties will be asked to nominate delegates. I feel sure that a full and frank discussion of the various problems connected with the subject will result in much valuable information being obtained, and that it will be possible to evolve ways and means of solving the problem, which has been before the House ou several occasions.''
