TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS.
. In to-day's issue will be . found the Railway Department's advertisement setting out the train airangemeuts for the Christmas holidays. Ni^ht trains ■ aye scheduled on Christmas Eve (24th Deeemoer) between Wellington, Xapier, and Wanganui. Adequate arrangements are made to catei- tor passengers to the seaside and picnic grounds on Boxing Day and the following day. Race meetings at Pahnerston North and Clareville on 26th December and subsequent dates are especially catered for and special fares featured. The New Year holiday train arrangements will be advertised next week. Baring enthusiasts who intend visiting the WoodviJle meeting next week will be able to leave Wellington by the Daylight Limited and arrive at Wbodville at" noon. The return journey may be made by the same service, arriving at Wellington at ■11.10 p.m.
Extra express trains will be run during the Christmas and New Year holidays between Wellington-Auckland, WellingtonPalmerston Jforth-Wanganui-New Plymouth, and Wellington-Palmerston North■Aapier. Particulars of night trains on Christmas Eve are also, advertised.
