LICENSING OFFENCES
■ The licensee of the Forester's Aims Hotel, Pcrcival Herbert Hayward, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to-day to selling liquor after hours, and to aiding and assisting in the commission of ah offence. ; , ; .
Senior-Sergeant Ward said that at about half-past 7 on 12th October a constable on beat duty saw someone entering the * .A, sergeant and the constable then entered the hotel and found four men standing outside a closed slide leading to the-bar. Two o£ the men had glasses ata™B .Huor, and there were two half-filled glasses on the ledge. One of the men was a boarder, but the others were unlawfully on the premises. r2* ?' Pf^ wli? aPPeared for the defendant said that Hayward had not previously been prosecuted for any offence. Ihe liquor had been supplied by an assistant barman.
