STAFF APPOINTMENTS

LONDON, sth December. Lord Bledisloe has appointed Majo?, H. H. B. Bathurst, his brother, militarysecretary. His regiment is the Eoyal Bcrkshires, affiliated to the first Hawkes Bay Regiment. Major Bathurst served in the South African and Great Wars, and was afterwards private secretary to Lord Irwin, when the latter was ITnder-Seeretary for the Colonies. Major Bathurst is a keen, social church worker.

Sir John Hanham is likely to be aide-de-camp. He is a nephew of Lord Bledisloe's first wife.
