Eeports state last night that initial fighting • for possession of Canton commenced in ;arnest. Wounded are arriving in Canton, and reinforcements are being rushed by the Cantonese to the front in order to strengthen the resistance. The Kwangsi forces have been steadily advancing on Canton during thu last few days, in conjunction with Nanking's "Ironsides."
