FIRE IN DRAPER'S SHOP

, WAIROA, This Day. - At 7 o'clock this morning a fire broke i>ut in the rear of the showroom of Walker's drapery store, on the Marine parade. It was quickly subdued by the brigade, but the stock was badly damaged by, smoke and water. The building, which is owned :ly Mr. Douglas Wilson, of Napier, was slightly damaged. The stock was insured in the South British and Home Insurance 'offices for £1500 in each.
Be prepared. See that you have adequate insurance on your house and furniture. Consult the Mercantile and General Insurance Company, Ltd., Panama Street, Wellington.—Ad vt.
