"I have been all over New Zealand now, and I have not seen any evidence of poverty at all," declared Mr. L. A. Paish (His Majesty's Trade Commissioner) in his address at the British Manufacturers' Association luncheon on Friday afternoon. "Your exports during tho past three years have gone up 25 per cent; and that shows pretty well the prosperity New Zealand is enjoying.''
