DAIRY PRODUCE QUIET.
The Bank of New Zealand Produce Department has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business last week:—Butter: Dull. 166s to 168s per cwt. Cheese: Dull. White 945, coloured 925.
Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable from Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co., Ltd., London: "Butter: Market slow. Prices irregular. Danish,. 188s to 1925; New Zealand, unsalted 184s to 188s, salted 164s to 170s; Australian, unsalted 174s to' 178s, salted 164s to 168s. Cheese: Market quiet. White 94s to 955, coloured 92s to 935."
Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following market advice from their head office, London, under date of 2nd December. JMessrs. Samuel Page and Son report:—"Butter: Market weak. New Zealand, finest salted, 164s to 168s; Australian, finest salted, 162s to 1665. Cheese: Market slow. New Zealand cheese, white 93s to 945, coloured. 91s to. 925."
