PART-TIME POSTMEN

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") CHEISTCHUBCH, 30th November. The scheme under which disabled returned soldiers are to be employed as extra part-time postmen in the city area has now been brought into opera^ tion, ana this week four men started on their rounds. • The scheme at present is merely an' experiment, and it. is not known whether more men will' be employed. The men, who this week are' accompanying the regular postmen and learning the details of their work, will -act as additional men on the city rounds. The service should go a long way towards alleviating the position with regard to the quick delivery of mails to city business houses.
