LODGE MEETINGS
Mmitai Lodge, No. 113, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held a concert and dance this week at Eastbourne, there being a very large attendance of visitors from the., city as well as from Okhvi-iti Rebekah Lodge, the local ladies' lodge. Visitors from Wellington included Bio. F. J. Jones, P.D.D.G.M., and others. The concert portion of the programme included items by Miss Olwin Davies, Miss Ettie Rush, Miss C. Leadbetter, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Tait, Mr. C. R. Mayer, and Masters Malcolm and Robert: Cheyne.
Zealandia Lodge, No. 48, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting on Thursday evening, Bro. R, W.Harvey, N.Z., presiding over a large attendance. Visitors included Bro. J. Whitby (Paddington Woollahra Lodge, Sydney, N.S.W.), Bvo. F. Reilly (William Gane Lodge, N.S.W.), and Bro. A. Crombie (Wildey Lodge). Eight members were reported on the sick list and relative pay, together with various other accounts, was passed for payment. Two candidates were nominated for membership, two admitted by initiation, and one admitted by clearance. Resolutions of sympathy with Bro. Ft. Dairies, ■P.D.D.G.M., and Bro. J. F. Miller, V.G., P.C.P., in the loss of father and sister, respectively, were passed. Bro. H. Guytoii, E.G., .reported that the Bradley Memorial CribbagG Shield had =been lost to Maraenui Lodge. After lodge business mombevs participated in games of cards.
Wellesley Lodge, No. 7, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its bi-monthly meeting last Monday evening, Bro. R. Burgess, acting Noble Grand, presiding over a good attendance. Two candidates were nominated for membership. Bro. G. E. Eudkin, P.C.P., P.G., gave an interesting resume o£ his recent visit to Dunedin, and other South Island lodges, conveying greetings of all lodges visited. After the conclusion of lodge business members participated in games and harmony. ' . . . ■
