Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follow (those for 22nd November being given in parentheses) :— Cotton.—Liverpool quotation, American middling upland, December delivery, 9.32 d per lb (9.40 d). . Rubber.—Para, B%d per lb (8%d); plantation smoked, 7 15-16 d per lb (8 l-8d). Jute.—December-January shipment £26 12s 6d per ton (£27 ss). Hemp.—None offering. Copra.—December - January shipment South Sea, £21 17s 6d per ton (£2l 15s)-. plantation, Rabaul, £22 (£2l 17s 6d) Linseed 0i1.—£45 10s per ton (£44 10s). Turpentine.—42s per cwt (425).
