New Zealand Baconer Pigs: Stocks low, nominal prices.
Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London agents, dated 29th November:—"Frozen meat quotations (prices on a 'delivered' basis, including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): North Island Down lambs and best North Island crossbred lambs, none offering; North Island second quality lambs, average 30-31, 7d per lb; best North Island wether sheep,~ under 48, 6 5-Bd, 48-56 6%d, 56-64 6Yid, 64-72 6d; North Island ewes, under 48 4%d, 48-56 4 3-Bd, 56-64 4%d, 64-72 4%d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160-220, none offering. As compared with last week's quotations, lamb is unchanged, with *,he exception of second quality, which is l-8d per lb lower. Heavy wethers and ewes are l-8d per lb higher. There id no change of any importance in the'lamb market, which shows a weakening tendency. The market for ewes is firm, but quiet.
