THE BIGGS CASE
MELBOURNE POLICE PUZZLED
(Received 27th November, 1 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The police are puzzled by the Biggs case, particulars of which were cabled from Auckland after the arrival of the Ulimaroa yesterday. The last seen of Mrs. Biggs was on 18th November. Her husband left a note at the People's i Palace saying: "I am leaving for Auckland to-morrow. You know where to find me."
The police cannot understand how tha woman could get to Sydney with only 2s Bd, which was found in her purse. Mr. Biggs called upon a friend namei Miss Martin at West Melbourne, oa 19th November, saying that he had left his wife doing shopping, adding that they were both leaving for Sydney that afternoon to join the ship.
