WOMEN'S INSTITUTES
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —Will you kindly allow me to co» rect an error in a report from Pahiatua appearing in your issue of 30th October which has just been brought to my notice. Under the heading "Farmers' Wives" a meeting is wrongly ascribed to the women's division of the Farmers' Union, whereas it was a council meeting of the Wellington Provincial Federation of Women's Institutes. This is a section of the great and growing organisation of country women which now numbers over 80 institutes in New Zealand and is doing so much for the betterment of the lives and lot of country dwellers in this Dominion, as well as in other parts of our Empire. Thanking you.—l am, etc.,
A. E. J. SPENCER, Chief Organiser, ■ N.Z. Women's Institutes. Napier, 25th November.
