DEBRIS IN THE STREETS

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—ln the columns of "The Post" of the 23rd inst. I see the City Council had complaints from its residents 50 years ago about dead rats, hen, and crayfish being on the sidewalks. After all these years we still find the same thing is happening. Just outside our gate at present there is someone's dead black cat" (over ripe) under one of the many shrubs that have been planted about. Last week we had some small fish, but they have gone; perhaps the cat had them and it has killed it. This street is a dump for some people. I and a great many others would like to see them caught and punished.—l am, etc.,

DRUMMOND STREET RESIDENT.
